Figuring out the safe code in Duck Detective can be a major pain if you don’t know which clues to look out for, so how can you unlock the safe? Let’s review the correct code for opening the safe in Duck Detective.
Duck Detective: How to unlock the safe code
Figuring out the correct safe code can be difficult if you don’t know which clues to look out for. The code to unlock the safe in Duck Detective is 2-1-4. But how did I come to this conclusion? Well, it took a little bit of trial and error, although I did put together a couple of the clues with the hints given.
Once you get Manfred out of his office (which requires you to further the investigation and story), you can open up the safe hidden behind the painting in his office. It’s a three-digit code, but the only hint given is this written on a sticky note: CS/OO/BD.
I was quickly able to figure out that CS translated to Customer Service, which is mostly ran by Laura. OO meant Operating Office, who is run by Freddy. Finally, BD meant Bus Driver, who is Boris. Unfortunately, my detective skills ran dry here and I couldn’t figure out how to correlate numbers to these roles in Bear Bus.
I tried searching all the clues available, yet I couldn’t find a single one that led me to numbers relating to the roles or workers. While I believe I was on the right track, to figure out the safe code I did some trial-and-error in Story Mode.
Luckily, Duck Detective has Story Mode which allows you to get more hints to your guesses. This led me to figure out that the safe code was 2-1-4, yet I’m still unsure of how I’d figure this one out without hints. Another tough puzzle such as this one was figuring out Margaret’s computer password.
