How to unlock the Prisoner in Deep Confinement and Ashblazing Grand Duke relics

To unlock these new relic sets, you’ll need to unlock the new zone introduced in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.5, the Fyxestroll Garden. I wanted to farm some new relics right away, but to my dismay, you actually have to complete part of a new event quest first. This quest is the “Sojourners’ Ghastly Reverie” quest, which you can learn about here.

After completing the quest, you’ll be able to enter the new Cavern of Corrosion! You can find it here on the map, so head to the following location:

The Cavern of Corrosion is a special battle that drops different relic sets after you win. It costs 40 Resin per attempt, and will typically drop up to two 5-star relics at the highest difficulty. This Cavern of Corrosion consists of the new Aurumaton Special Envoy enemy, as well as a Wraith Warden, Entranced Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish, and Entranced Ingenium: Golden Cloud Toad enemy.

Prisoner in Deep Confinement stats

The Prisoner in Deep Confinement has the following effect:

  • 2-piece set: ATK increases by 12%.
  • 4-piece set: For every DoT the target enemy is afflicted with, the wearer will ignore 6% of its DEF when dealing DMG to it. This effect is valid for a max of 3 DoT(s).

This set is the new best-in-slot for DPS characters who focus on dishing out lots of DoT damage. The obvious benefactor to this set is Kafka, who is the premier DoT DPS unit in the game. Other users who will appreciate this set are characters like Sampo, Guinafen, Luka, and Shushang.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke stats

The Ashblazing Grand Duke has the following effect:

  • 2-piece set: Increases the DMG of follow-up attacks by 20%.
  • 4-piece set: When the wearer uses follow-up attacks, increases the wearer’s ATK by 6% every time the follow-up attack deals DMG. This effect can stack up to 8 time(s) and lasts for 3 turn(s). This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a follow-up attack.

This set is the new best-in-slot for DPS characters whose damage mostly comes from follow-up attacks. This means characters like Jing Yuan and Topaz will definitely want to use the full Ashblazing Grand Duke set.

There are characters who also have follow-up attacks, such as March 7th, Blade, or Qingque, but these follow-up attacks are mostly bonuses and not the majority of their damage. So you should only use this set for characters whose identity revolves around their follow-up attacks.
