How to unlock the Dark Crusader class in Lords of the Fallen

To pay or not to pay, that is the question.

Class choice is a feature that not only will impact heavily in any RPG but also will hopefully match your playstyle or how you approach challenges. In the case of soulslike games, picking the best class to suit your needs is even more important, but what happens when a class is not available at the start of your gaming journey? Well, we end up with a Lords of the Fallen reboot. Here is how to unlock the Dark Crusader class in Lords of the Fallen.

Lords of the Fallen: How to unlock the Dark Crusader class

To unlock the Dark Crusader class, you have two options. The easiest, although more expensive way, is to straight-up purchase the Lords of the Fallen Deluxe Edition. On top of that, you will also receive the Dark Crusader armor set and weapon, as well as the original digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, and a 3D model viewer. If you ask me, these benefits outweigh the 10-dollar difference between the Standard and Deluxe Edition.

However, if you are worried that the Dark Crusader class is locked behind a paywall, then don’t fret. The Dark Crusader class is completely unlockable in-game, although it sounds easier than it is. To unlock the Dark Crusader class while playing the Standard Edition of Lords of the Fallen you will have to complete a playthrough, regardless of the ending you unlock. Now, before you go ahead and speedrun the game, you must know that it takes approximately 30 hours to complete a single playthrough.

If you want to experience the game multiple times, then I suggest unlocking the Dark Crusader class by simply playing the game. However, if you want to experience the game in its totality from the get-go, consider the possibility of purchasing the Deluxe Editon of Lords of the Fallen. Whatever you pick, I hope you get your chance to experience the game while using the Dark Crusader as your class of choice.
