Out of all the Archetypes in Remnant 2, the Alchemist is perhaps one that stands out a fair bit. This isn’t only due to its unique game plan of specializing in consumables. It’s also unlocked in quite a peculiar way, one that forces you into a fight that may or may not go so well if you’re unprepared. So, here’s everything you need to know about unlocking the Alchemist Archetype in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2: How to unlock the Alchemist Archetype
The Alchemist Archetype in Remnant 2 is found in Losomn. From here on I’ll be talking about my personal experience, which may differ from yours due to how the game’s procedural generation works. Nevertheless, you should be able to use this guide to figure it out in your own world.

In Ironborough, which is one of the town districts in Losomn, you can find a handful of large sewer grates. You need to stand around one of these and wait to be grabbed by a monster. Don’t worry because this won’t kill your character. It instead transports them to a nearby area where we have to fight this beast to get the item we need. The following fight is much easier if you have the Engineer Archetype. With it, you can place a turret down and double your damage output in the fight. It shouldn’t be too tricky either way as long as you’ve upgraded your weapons a decent amount. And that’s really the hardest part about getting the Alchemist Archetype in Remnant 2.

Once the fight is done, you’ll get a material called the Mysterious Stone. It’s very mysterious indeed but we all know what it really does. Head back to Ward 13 and speak to Wallace. You can trade Wallace the Mysterious Stone and get the Alchemist Archetype in return. The Alchemist comes with Skills that grant passive buffs to yourself and allies. It even has a Skill that can revive dead downed players faster than the usual method. The Alchemist definitely seems like an interesting class if you’re able to put in the time to level it up in Remnant 2.
