Mystic Spearhand is my favorite Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and if you want to see if it’s your favorite, you need to know how to unlock it first. Here’s how to unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Mystic Spearhand: How to unlock and equip
To unlock Mystic Spearhand, you need to talk to Sigurd. However, it takes time to get to this point. Mystic Spearhand is an Advanced Vocation which means it’s not available at the beginning of the game.
To get to the point where you can talk to Sigurd and get Mystic Spearhand, you need to spend time in Vernworth completing quests like The Caged Magistrate and then revisit Melve.
Melve is the first town you visit and you find out that it’s prone to dragon attacks. After you’ve decided to go with the oxcart or walk to Vernworth and have spent time in the Capital, you can take an oxcart back to Melve. Upon your arrival, you’ll be thrown into a dragon fight in which the entire town is helping out — including Sigurd the Mystic Spearhand.
Once the dragon flees, you can find Sigurd near the edge of town, looking off toward the distance in the direction of where the dragon fled. All you need to do is talk to him to unlock Mystic Spearhand.
How to equip Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Now, remember how to change Vocations to equip Mystic Spearhand. Since this is Melve, you can go to Tristan’s Inn and talk to Tristan to change Vocations. When you do, you’ll automatically be outfitted with a base set of Mystic Spearhand gear which includes armor and the weapon.
Sigurd is one of the only Mystic Spearhand users in the game which is why he’s able to give you the Vocation. He isn’t the Vocation Maister, but if you miss him in Melve, you can find his permanent residence in the house on the hill to the east in Harve Village.
