How to unlock Minecraft Rocks! In Terra Nil

With an impressively high 42% of players currently with the Minecraft Rocks! achievement, there are definitely harder goals to go for. The Issue with being able to unlock the Minecraft Rocks! achievement in Terra Nil is that it comes with no description. It is quite simple to get and will be in most people’s regular playthrough, but it does take a little know-how.

What to have before you unlock Minecraft Rocks

This is a throwback to the hit game Minecraft and requires you to be on a map with lava, water, and snow. Anyone who has played Minecraft will know all about how obsidian is formed by rapidly cooling flowing lava, allowing the player to mine a much better material. That’s pretty much what you’re trying to do here.

It is important to attempt this goal on a map that has lava flow and water available. If you have loaded in and the map doesn’t have the right layout, it is worth simply reloading it. This will help to unlock the Minecraft Rocks! Achievement in Terra Nil.

How to unlock Minecraft Rocks! In Terra Nil

Find a lava flow that you can push all the way through to the sea with an Excavator and Seismic Detonator. As you build up the land, ensure at least one lava flow is reaching the sea. Whilst you progress through the goals of the map, keep an eye on the temperature.

When you reach the animal survey section of the game, try to bring the temperature all the way down to the level it will begin to snow. Once it gets this cold, the lava that is reaching the sea will instantly cool and become stone.

This will unlock Minecraft Rocks! in Terra Nil. Once you have it unlocked it displays the description “Create rock by causing lava and river to meet.” This would have been nice to know before starting out.
