Dead Island 2 – Where to get your first gun

The good news is that Dead Island 2‘s first gun is impossible to miss since it’s part of a quest. Justifiable Zombicide is the tenth main quest the one we want. This mission has you meeting up with Sam B to grab some guns from a house in Beverly Hills. It’s one of the shorter missions in Dead Island 2, but does feature a pretty tough fight.

This is the mission where you’ll fight the first Screamer in the game and there are lots of ways to deal with it. As the name suggests, it’s got a loud scream that can knock you back and attract other nearby zombies. But as long as you keep attacking it, you should have no problems at all. After the fight is done, our prize is waiting in the same room as Sam B. On the wall nearby you’ll find the Sporting Rifle, the first gun in Dead Island 2. This is a beast of a gun to get first as it has a scope and deals a lot of damage.

As soon as you get this gun, you’ll notice that other guns will start dropping in the world as loot. Plus, you can also buy some guns from traders. This is where the game’s combat opens up and finally gives you some options. Dead Island 2 also gets pretty creative about the guns you can use. You can even find a nail gun that’s surprisingly effective as a firearm.

Dead Island 2 is a big game with a lot of stuff to cover. This includes a whole list of side missions to complete, as well as understanding what stats like Resilience do. So, stay tuned for more Dead Island 2 coverage.
