FF7 Rebirth: How to start Corel Protorelic 3

If you’re anything like me, you are trying to complete all side objectives before progressing through the game’s main story. This means completing each region’s Phenomenon Intel, also known as Protorelics. What the game doesn’t tell you is that Corel Protorelic 3 isn’t available until after finishing chapter 12 of the main story in FF7 Rebirth.

That’s right. Corel Protorelic 3 can’t be unlocked until much later in the story. Considering that you reach Mt. Corel in chapter nine, it’s a pain that it takes an additional three chapters to have the chance to complete the next Protorelic.

Once you complete Chapter 12, assuming you have already completed Corel Protorelic 1 and 2, Corel Protorelic 3 will appear on the map in the Corel region. You can now go ahead and complete it, and once you do, Corel Protorelic 4 will become available.

How to beat Cactuar Crush in FF7 Rebirth

Your objective for all Corel Protorelics is to score high in the Cactuar Crush minigame as Aerith and Yuffie. It’s more challenging than you think, so we have a couple of key points you must know to help you beat the minigame and complete the Corel Phenomenon Intel.

  • Gladiatuars: Weak to physical damage.
  • Magituars: Weak to Yuffie’s Ninjutsu magic.
  • Bright Cactuars: Weak to Aerith’s Luminous Ward.
  • Dark Cactuars: Weak to Aerith’s Shadow Ward.
  • Groups of Cactuars: As Aerith, use Sorcerous Storm for crowd control.

When controlling Yuffie or Aerith, follow the bullet points above to kill the Cactuars as quickly as possible. Once you understand all the enemies’ weaknesses, you will score high in the Cactuar Crush minigame.
