The Hunters in Star Wars Hunters are all pretty cool and have their uses, and thankfully, they can all be unlocked for free. Well, for the most part.
How to unlock Hunters in Star Wars Hunters
There are a few ways to get new Hunters in Star Wars Hunters. So far there are 13 Hunters for you to collect, and only one must be acquired through microtransactions.
Have a look at the following table for an easy overview of every Hunter before we get into the details:
Hunters available from the Hunter’s Path | Hunter’s available from the Premium Arena Pass |
---|---|
Sentinel | Aran Tal |
Grozz | |
Zaina | |
Diago | |
Skora | |
J-3DI | |
Charr | |
Reive | |
Sprocket | |
Utooni | |
Sling Shot |
Note that every Hunter should be available in the Shop as part of a bundle for real money, although availability will be limited.
As this changes over time, and new Hunters get added, I’ll be sure to update this list.
The Hunter’s Path
The Hunter’s Path is where you’ll be unlocking all of the free Hunters, and it’s looking like this will only get longer as more new Hunters are added. Well, if new free Hunters get added. You unlock Imara Vex for free, but she isn’t included in the Hunter’s Path.
It takes 800 Hunter’s Tokens to progress to the next Hunter, and these tokens are earned from matches. Note that you’ll get more if you win!
Here is the Hunter’s Path and what Hunters you’ll be unlocking at each milestone:
Hunter’s Path milestone | Unlocked Hunter |
---|---|
1 | Sentinel |
2 | Grozz |
3 | Zaina |
4 | Diago |
5 | Skora |
6 | J-3DI |
7 | Charr |
8 | Rieve |
9 | Sprocket |
10 | Utooni |
11 | Sling Shot |
You can view the Hunter’s Path for yourself in the Home menu.
Note that if you don’t want to wait, you can buy a specific Hunter for 1,000 Gems. If you’re progressing toward the next Hunter, then their Gem price will decrease the closer you get to them.
The Arena Pass
The Arena Pass is a Battle Pass with 80 tiers of free and premium rewards.
The current Premium Arena Pass offers instant access to Aran Tal, a Mandalorian Hunter. It is unclear if every new Arena Pass will feature a new Hunter in this way, and it’s also unclear whether Aran Tal will be available for free on the Hunter’s Path once the Arena Pass is over.
So as it stands, purchasing the Arena Pass will get you Aran Tal, although this may not be the case once it’s over.
The Shop
In the Shop, you may have the chance to purchase a specific Hunter if you don’t want to wait for the Hunter’s Path to come through.
The shop sells Hunter starter kits, that include lots of currencies and Hunter-specific cosmetics. Note that not all bundles include the Hunter, so make sure that the bundle specifically has the Hunter as a part of it.
Not all Hunters will be available for purchase in a bundle, and the selection will rotate and change over time. So if you really want to spend money on a Hunter, keep an eye on the Shop.
Now that you know of all the ways to get the Hunters you want, you should take to the battlefield. Speaking of, your lobbies aren’t still full of bots, are they?
