The Legendary Hand Cannon that was featured on the cover of all the Destiny 2 Lightfall cover art (look at what the Hunter is holding) has finally entered the game in Season of the Deep. This Legendary Hand Cannon is called Epochal Integration and Bungie is giving us a free Masterworked model as an apology for not releasing it with Lightfall. Here is how to get Epochal Integration in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Season of the Deep: How to get Epochal Integration
Destiny 2 has a lot of new features with Season of the Deep (queue the fishing mini-game), but one thing you should make a priority is getting Epochal Integration. You can get a Masterworked God Roll Epochal Integration for free by completing the “Parting the Veil” quest.
This quest is acquired by Nimbus in Neptune and can only be completed if you have finished the missions after Lightfall, including the “Unfinished Business” quest. The “Parting the Veil” quest itself isn’t that hard, but there are multiple steps to it. For a detailed step-by-step walkthrough of “Parting the Veil,” I suggest you read my guide on Attack of the Fanboy. The guide there is titled “How to Get the New Strand Aspects in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep” because completing this quest also gets you the new Strand Aspects.
Once you have completed every step of “Parting the Veil,” you will be rewarded with Epochal Integration. And the good news is you don’t need to grind for the perfect roll since the Epochal Integration they give you is Masterworked and a God Roll.
Best Perks for Epochal Integration in Destiny 2
Epochal Integration has four perks to choose from and two origin traits to choose. Odds are you want to know the best perks and origin trait you can select on Epochal Integration.
Keep Away is the best first column perk for PvP as you’ll likely be using Epochal Integration as a mid-ranged weapon. However, I suggest Stats for All for PvE as it is more rare for enemies to be no more than 15 meters away and it’s fairly easy to hit three separate targets within three seconds.
For PvP, I recommend Eye of the Storm as it will keep you alive and ensure you kills when you get low on health. For PvE, I highly recommend Incandescent as this is still one of, if not the best, PvE weapon perk. Incandescent applies scorch to nearby enemies which can easily stack to create a chain of Solar ignitions.
For both PvP and PvE, I’d go with Nanotech Tracer Rockets for the origin trait as it adds extra damage via mini-rockets after landing multiple hits on a target. However, if you have multiple Season of the Deep weapons, Harmonic Resonance can be great in PvP to boost the reload speed and handling.
