How to Summon Co-op Companion players in Lords of the Fallen

It's dangerous to go alone. Well, it's still dangerous to go with a partner, but it's better than nothing. Stop complaining.

In Lords of the Fallen, you don’t have to face all of your challenges alone. You can buddy up with a partner or a friend and push forth together, to get past a tricky boss or get you to your next Vestige. You don’t have to participate in the multiplayer, but you might find it very beneficial. Here’s how to summon a co-op companion in Lords of the Fallen.

Summoning in Lords of the Fallen

Summoning a co-op companion is rather easy in Lords of the Fallen, as long as there are players who wish to accompany one another. To access all multiplayer features, interact with a Vestige. If you haven’t logged in to cross-network play, then the option to ‘sign in’ will appear at the bottom of the list. If you do not have access to online features, this won’t work.

If you are logged in, then it will show ‘multiplayer’ at the bottom of the list. Click it, and you will be able to ‘Beckon lampbearer’. Click on this, and the game will search for another player who is currently searching for a player to accompany.

Matchmaking In Lords Of The Fallen

You may be in matchmaking for a while as the server tries to find another player for you. You can leave the Vestige and play around while you wait. You should notice a symbol to the left of the screen that appears when matchmaking is active.

Before too long, a lampbearer should join you! They can battle enemies and help you with bosses.

How companions work in Lords of the Fallen

These companions are with you for the long run in Lords of the Fallen. When they die, instead of going Umbral, a blue phantom of them will be in the place where they died. You can then interact with the phantom to revive them. This can happen as many times as necessary. When you die, fret not, as the co-op lampbearer will respawn with you.

With friendly fire turned off, you can have a companion with no worries that the death of any party will ruin the partnership. Any Vigor dropped by enemies can be picked up by both parties, so there’ll be no racing or tension about Vigor pickups, as you can both enjoy them together.

I hope this has helped, and that you will make good use of this feature. For more Lords of the Fallen help, lampbearer, cast your gaze over to PC Invasion.
