How to summon a raid boss in Palworld

It'll be a battle for the ages.

If you were finding Palworld a little too easy, you have completed your PalDeck, and you were looking for something new, the dev team have finally delivered with this new update. Now, it is possible to summon a raid boss to your chosen location in Palworld. These extremely challenging bosses can’t be caught but will pose a serious challenge for the seasoned Pal catcher.

How to call in a raid boss

Unlike a lot of the other high-level enemies in Palworld, a raid boss is not location-specific. All you need to do to summon a Palworld raid boss is build the necessary structure and acquire a few materials. This will allow you to stage the clash of the gods where you choose. I would go for somewhere fittingly epic. Think mountaintop or sunset over the sea. I digress. Here is how to get ready for your raid boss battle.

Build a Summoning Altar

The first thing you need to summon a Palworld raid boss is the Summoning Altar. This can be unlocked through your Technology Tree at level 32 and requires three Ancient Technology Points. Once you have unlocked it, it will be time to build the structure, and it is big.

Make sure you have plenty of space for your Summoning Alatar because things are going to get wild. It will have to be built within your base, so choose somewhere appropriate with a lot of room to bust some moves. It is also worth bearing in mind that because this will be in a base, your base Pals will be getting involved. Switch things up at your chosen Summoning Altar base so you have your strongest Pals working there.

To build the Summoning Altar, you will need 100 Stone and 20 Summoning fragments, all of which can be found around the map or mined. Place it in an appropriate location inside one of your bases and then get looking for the next resources you will need to summon a raid boss in Palworld.

Craft a Slab

Once you have your Summoning Altar built you will then need a Slab to summon a Palworld raid boss. These need to be crafted at either a Workbench or a Factory. To craft a slab, you will need four Slab Fragments. These various Slab Fragments can be found in both chests and dungeons. This means you are going to have to grind a bit to acquire all the necessary materials.

Call in the Palworld raid boss

Once you have your Summoning Altar and Slab ready, simply head to the center of the Altar and insert the Slab. This will then call in the mighty Bellanoir for you to do battle with. This is currently the only raid boss available, but I am sure we can expect to see more as time goes on.

This raid boss is going to be no easy battle, so make sure you are ready to fight. Ensure you are at least around level 45 and above. Also, due to this boss being situated in your base, it is a wise idea to have all your strongest pals working the Base you have decided to stage the battle.

Once you have managed to beat the Palworld raid boss, you will be rewarded with Eggs and other goodies. However, it is worth bearing in mind that you cannot catch the raid boss, so don’t even bother.
