1. Load into any mission that is your own.
2. Throw down the SOS Strategem that comes stock with every host. This is the tool you use to boost your invite chances, but in my experience and the experience of many players, it doesn’t work planetside.
3. Once it’s on the planet, quit out of the mission by returning to your ship.
4. Launch the same mission from the Galactic Map.
5. Wait for your ship to fill with online players.

Besides playing with friends, hosting and joining matches in Helldivers 2 is nearly impossible.
