The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gives you lots of problems to solve. But one of the most annoying enemies to fight is, rather surprisingly, the weather. Rain and lightning can halt your progress and force you to alter your plans. But there is a way to stop the weather from becoming a roadblock. So here’s a quick guide for stopping the rain and lightning in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom: How to stop rain and lightning
Unfortunately, there is no item that can magically alter the weather. The only thing you can do is wait out the storm and hope it passes you by soon. But there is a way to make the time pass by a little quicker. This is one of those situations where the Sun’s Song from Ocarina of Time would really come in handy. But that’s not an option in Tears of the Kingdom, so we’ve got to think of something else.
The easiest way to stop rain and lightning in Tears of the Kingdom is by sitting at a campfire or stove and passing the time. This allows you to skip past an entire day’s worth of time easily and can get you out of bad weather. Now, if you’re in the middle of a field with no shelter anywhere, building a fire might be tricky. This is where you can use Link’s Ultrahand ability to build a makeshift shelter for the rain.
There are other ways to lessen the pain of rain and lightning in Tears of the Kingdom. You can now make a Sticky Elixir to climb up wet surfaces, which makes the rain no problem at all. And when you’re about to be struck by lightning, all you need to do is unequip any weapons or shields that are made of metal. So there are ways of handling rain and lightning with relative ease in Tears of the Kingdom. But waiting the storm out next to a fire is a good solution too.
