How to stop Buckshot Roulette from opening to a black screen

Buckshot Roulette is such a simple game that one wouldn’t expect any issues to arise right? For the most part that is true, however, while the game does run smoothly on most rigs, there are still some issues.

There have been reports that once the game is installed, you can get hit with a black screen and then the game auto shuts off. If this is happening to you in Buckshot Roulette, the following method might solve the problem. 

Buckshot Roulette: How to stop the game from opening to a black screen

No matter where you download the game, the black screen will stop you from opening Buckshot Roulette if the issue appears. Since the error isn’t exclusive to one platform, the solution isn’t either. So if you’re playing it unblocked, you can use this method. 

• Locate the file on your computer. If you’re doing this through Steam, just navigate to Properties. In the Properties window look for Installed Files and then browse. This will take you straight to the game’s folder on your PC.
• Rename the exe file of Buckshot Roulette to Buckshot-Roulette. Don’t forget the dash between the words. 
• Open a notepad document and copy the following: Buckshot-Roulette.exe –rendering-driver opengl3. Make sure you take the period out when copying the text. 
• Click Save As for the notepad document you made and change it to a .bat file type. 
• Once you’ve done that, move the document into the folder that contains the Buckshot-Roulette.exe file. 
• When you’ve moved the file, run the game through that .bat file.

If all is done correctly the game should load up without a problem

Why does this error happen?

At the moment I can’t put my finger on it. However, some are reporting that Buckshot Roulette wasn’t properly ported over to Steam or the updated version of the game isn’t optimized well. On the other hand, there seems to be no concrete reason at the moment. The good news is that this issue seems not to come back after it’s fixed.
