For starters, you need a silenced weapon to take out guards quietly. Also, the objectives of each mission change based on the difficulty, so Normal is going to be easier than Overkill. This guide will teach you how to go quietly in Payday 3 No Rest For the Wicked on Normal difficulty, but I’ll point out moments where higher difficulties will need to take a different approach.

Get into the bank

To stealthily get into the bank, all you need to do is go around the left side and pick the lock of the gate. There is a guard patrolling the back of the building and a guard patrolling the parking lot. Make sure neither of them can see you and then sneak in.

Take the stairs up to the roof. The roof is the easiest way to stealthily access the bank, so make your way up there. Once there, find the stairwell down into the building and make your way down.

You need to be cautious because on the lowest difficulty, there is a camera next to the main stairwell doorway on the roof. On the higher difficulties, you encounter more cameras and guards. Hide behind cover to avoid the cameras and guards, and kill the guards quietly if they are out of sight of each other and the cameras.

Acquiring the red and blue keycards

Next, you need to quietly steal the red and blue keycards that are found on random guards. You’ll always find the keycards on the back of guards on the first and second levels, but their positions will always be randomized.

The easiest way to get the second-level guard’s keycard is to wait in the main stairwell and wait for them to pass. The easiest way to get the first-level guard’s keycard is to wait until he gets close to the security gate. Sneak up behind them and grab the keycards. Just watch out for security cameras.

If you’re playing on a higher difficulty, you’ll need to scan a QR code on a phone that is located in the IT room or the Manager’s Office on the first floor. There are cameras and guards patrolling the halls, so be quick and quiet and disable the security first.

Disable the security cameras

First, go to the security room to disable the cameras. To do this, go to the security room on the second floor. Mask up, kill the guard here silently, and answer the pager. Shut off the cameras and, for the rest of the run, you don’t need to worry about security cameras.

Open the security gate

Now that you have the keycards, make your way to the IT room, which is on the first floor to the right when exiting the stairwell. When nobody is looking, flip the power switch that’s on the wall and get out of there.

With that done, go to the power room. This can be found on the second floor next to the soda machine or on the roof. Hack the computer there and it’ll tell you the color of the switchbox downstairs.

Finally, go to the security gate on the first floor, which is located left of the main stairwell. Open the switchbox and hit the color indicated in the power room. If you saw blue in the power room, hit the blue switch.

Open the vault

With the security gate open, you now need to get the high-level executive to get past the eye scanner and into the vault. Look for the man in the suit in the Manager’s Office on the first floor or around the photocopier on the second floor. Grab the executive, bring him to the vault, and scan his eye.

Next, you need to go to the Manager’s Office and get into the computer there. You’ll find four codes, and if you input the wrong one, your stealth run will be ruined.

To find the right code, look at the keypad next to the vault. You’ll automatically use your UV light and you’ll see fingerprints. With that, you’ll be able to tell what the correct code is and input it to gain access to the vault.

Steal the loot

You are finally in the vault! Right when you enter, you have a limited time to disarm the dye packs on all the money. With one player, you can do six, but with two players, you can disarm all eight.

You can loot up as much as you want at this point. Exit through the roof, deposit your money in the van, and repeat. When you’re ready, get out of there and you’ll have successfully completed a stealth run of No Rest For the Wicked.
