How To Start The Dawntrail Quest In Ffxiv Old Sharlayan

Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail takes place in the new region of Tural, found on the far eastern side of Eorzea. With so many new things coming with the expansion, you may be able to get a free Phial of Fantasia. But if you just want to jump straight into the new story content, you’ll find the start of the Dawntrail quest A New World to Explore in Old Sharlayan (X: 9.2, Y: 11.2) from the NPC Ojika Tsunjika.

If you make it through the queues on release but still can’t find the quest, there are a few prerequisites you have to complete before starting the Dawntrail main quest. For starters, you must of course make sure that you are level 90 with any Disciple of War or Magic job.

Second and most importantly, you must complete the Endwalker expansion, as well as every story quest from the subsequent patches 6.1-6.55. The last quest you must complete before starting Dawntrail is The Coming Dawn from quest-giver G’raha Tia. With all of that completed, you can journey across the sea and start the next adventure for the Scions. It’s also a perfect time to grab some FFXIV merch or gifts to help immerse you into the world of Eorzea.
