Holidays in Sanctuary are more like “let’s discover the new demon-like monsters” than “let’s sip a cup of hot chocolate and exchange gifts.” Here is how to start the Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: How to Start Midwinter Blight Event
Once the Midwinter Blight event goes live on December 12, 2023, many players will want to protect the Fractured Peaks’ heartwarming festivities from enemies such as the Red Cloaked Horror and many Blightfiend monsters who are only fixated on ruining the holidays with their gory purposes.
To start the Midwinter Blight event, you will have to locate Gileon, who is a Bard that will trigger the event as a whole. He will be sitting right in front of what will become the Midwinter Totem, in Kyovashad. This won’t be a particularly difficult find. Locate the purple pin on Kyovashad, head there, and speak to Gileon.
Once you have finished speaking with Gileon, he will inspire all the people in Kyovashad to fight the Midwinter Blight. This will start the Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4 for you and you will be able to partake in all activities and also collect all possible items and rewards. You will be able to complete new quests and also fight the Blight FIends across the Fractured Peaks.

Be sure to kill as many Blightfiends as possible so that you can gather Blighted Fragments which you can use to redeem rewards at the Proof Exchange. Destroy those horrible Frigid Husks tributes to collect Lost Heirlooms to get even more rewards. Finally, kill those Red-Cloaked Horrors so that you can eventually get that Red-Cloaked Trophy in your hands. To sum up, kill whatever holiday-inspired creature you find across Sanctuary and you will be on the right track.
