Many regions of the world celebrate the first full moon of the year. Sanctuary is not the exception! Here is how to start the Lunar Awakening event in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: How to start Lunar Awakening Event
Just like every season introduction — as well as time-limited events — the Lunar Awakening event will need to be triggered by the player to take part in its activities and make use of its unique features. While this event takes place during Season 3 of Diablo 4 — Season of the Construct — all characters regardless of their realm — Seasonal or Eternal — will be able to participate. Similarly to the Midwinter Blight event, you will need to visit and interact with an NPC. In the case of the Lunar Awakening event, you will have to travel to Ked Bardu — Kotama Grasslands, Dry Steppes — and interact with Ying-Yue who is the leader of the Lunar Night Market.
Just as you might expect, this market will act as your main hub during this event. While there will be a plethora of Lunar Shrines all across the Diablo 4 Dungeons, you will always have to return to Ked Bardu to touch base with Ying-Yue. Why? Well, while you make use of the effect of Lunar Shrines — which grant increased mobility, XP income bonuses, and different types of buffs — if you defeat enemies, activate these shrines, and complete dungeons and even overworld zones, you will gain Ancestor’s Favor. This is a type of reputation that you will exchange with Ying-Yue at the Lunar Night Market for exclusive cosmetic rewards that feature an aesthetic matching the theme of the event.
