How to start and complete a vehicle SHADOW briefing in Fortnite

Free Gold and a nice set of wheels.

There’s so much content crammed into the Fortnite map it’s hard to keep track of it all. If you’re on the challenge grind, let me show you how to start and complete a vehicle SHADOW briefing in Fortnite.

What is a vehicle SHADOW briefing in Fortnite?

Vehicle SHADOW briefings function similarly to regular SHADOW briefings but require you to complete them with a specific vehicle. I’m unsure how many different tasks there are, but mine have all been to drive a short distance with a particular vehicle.

When you accept a vehicle SHADOW briefing, a car will drop from a rift close by, and you’ll have a straightforward mission to complete. You have to finish the task in this specific vehicle. These tasks are worth doing even without a challenge tied to them, as you earn Gold with little effort.

As you can see, the vehicle SHADOW briefings are simple. The catch is they are hard to find in the first place.

SHADOW briefings of any kind never show up on the map, so you’ll have to go on a hunt to find them. Vehicle SHADOW briefings always appear near a few bollards on the roadside (pictured above). You can hunt for these briefing stations by driving around the map.

I tend to find the briefings on the roads just north of Restored Reels, but you can find them elsewhere, too.

Once you’ve found a briefing station, interact with it, and you must wait a few seconds for the vehicle to spawn. Fortunately, you get to keep the car after you’ve completed the challenge, so these tasks are a great way to get some wheels if you’re in a pinch.

The cars can even show up with vehicle mods preinstalled, which is a game-changer in Chapter 5, Season 3.
