How to start and access Pathfinder WOTR Dance of Masks

Once you finally get your hands on A Dance of Masks DLC for Pathfinder WOTR, how can you start and access the new content? There are a few prerequisites to gaining access to the new adventure, so let’s review them.

Pathfinder WOTR Dance of Masks: How to start and access the DLC

Many players may be wondering if you must create a whole new character to experience the Dance of Masks DLC for Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteousness. In short, you can access and start the adventure for A Dance of Masks in Pathfinder WOTR by making it to Act 5 and entering the Citadel.

Since this DLC happens at the start of Act 5 of the main campaign for Pathfinder, if you’re past that point you won’t be able to start A Dance of Masks. I’d make sure that you have a character save file ready that’s just before Act 5, preferably Act 4.

Essentially, I wouldn’t advise you to create a new character for the DLC unless you’re willing to play the entire main campaign before making it to the DLC. Pathfinder WOTR is a long game, so you’d have to play for a long time before gaining access to the quest for A Dance of Masks.

How to start A Dance of Masks quest in Pathfinder WOTR

Since A Dance of Masks has you and your companions travel back to the city of Kenabres one last time to take part in a festival in your honor, it’s only accessible after Act 4. If you’re at that point, travel to the Citadel in Drezen and you can speak to Arsinoe inside the Citadel.

They’ll grant you the quest that starts the Dance of Masks DLC, and you’ll be given a new location on your map. If you don’t see Arsinoe inside the Citadel, you may have to wait a few days for them to show up. Pass time outside the Citadel, then enter the building, which should trigger a cutscene to start the quest.

You can now leave Drezen and travel to Kenabres, which is further south on your map. There, you’ll find the Old City Gates, so head there and you can begin the festivities. Alongside this new adventure, A Dance of Masks introduces 11 new Archetypes to try out.
