In LEGO Fortnite, chest storage is always a problem. There is never enough space in them, and so you need a load of them to store all your goodies. However, being unable to stack them means that a lot of space is required to store them.
Well, one LEGO Fortnite player figured out how to stack them.
Stacking chests in LEGO Fortnite
LEGO Fortnite certainly has its quality of life issues, one of which being poor inventory management and poor storage space in general. Having to place loads of chests around isn’t too convenient either, and the game doesn’t allow you to stack chests on top of each other for ease.
One player, cynicaldarkrai, posted a video on Reddit of them being able to stack chests on top of each other by abusing the gravity mechanic of the game.
When you break things in LEGO Fortnite, anything it was supporting falls, something many of us may not be immediately expecting in a creative, sandox, survival, and adventure game (*cough* Minecraft *cough*).
With this little bit of physics at play, you can use thin floor parts to form “shelves” on the walls that will support chests. Build these shelves above chests on the floor. You can then build chests on top of those shelves. Now, if you like the look of that, you can just leave the shelves as they are. Otherwise, you can break the floor, and the chests will fall on top of the others.
Ta-da! Stacked chests in LEGO Fortnite.

Things to be careful of when stacking chests in LEGO Fortnite
I ran into a few issues when I tested this trick out for myself. While it works, there are a few things to avoid when doing it yourself.
You’ll have to be careful doing this, as the gravity physics are finicky. The chests being stacked will have to be placed on an even surface, otherwise, anything on top of them will slide off.
Also, you’ll have to make sure that the shelves and chests are perfectly in line with each other. If not, then the falling chests may slide off the chests below.
Additionally, the flooring needs to fully support the base of the chests else they’ll fall off and will end up upside down on your floor. Not at all where you want it.
