Are you wondering how to solve the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2 so you can raise the path to Yaesha’s main boss? The biggest surprise of Remnant 2 is its crazy in-depth puzzle-solving. I came here for the Souls Like action but stayed for the puzzles. However, one of the most challenging puzzles to solve is the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2. This puzzle requires you to embrace your inner musician and blocks the path to the final boss, making it a requirement to solve. While this puzzle is challenging, we have done all the leg work in solving it for you, so you don’t have to worry about it! Here is how to solve the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2 so you can progress your game with little frustration.
How to solve Music Puzzle in the Forbidden Grove in Remnant 2
To solve the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2, you must pull pins beneath the symbols in a specific order to play a tune. There are five symbols and eight pegs, with five pegs per row. You must have the pegs in the correct order to solve the Water Harp puzzle in Remnant 2. Once you have solved the Water Harp puzzle, the path will be raised, and you can proceed.
Make sure you locate the Water Harp puzzle solution book at the checkpoint in The Forgotten Grove. This book holds all the symbols you need to solve the puzzle, but it is easy to miss if you don’t look around the room. It is sitting on a stone table, so make sure you don’t miss it! Multiple players at PC Invasion, me included, walked past the book and had to backtrack to find it.
After that, you must progress the game far enough as you cannot activate the Water Harp puzzle when you first find it. I spent a ton of time figuring out exactly what it was for until I realized you must continue through the map until it begins to double back on itself. This is because you must activate the Water Harp puzzle before attempting to solve it. After completing the Mother Mind boss encounter, I could activate the Water Harp puzzle.
Note: The Water Harp puzzle isn’t the only challenging puzzle in Remnant 2. Check out our guide on how to solve the Lemark District Clock puzzle!
How to complete The Flautist quest in Remnant 2
Once you reach the correct location on the map, you will find a Pan Flutist playing a song on a flute in the location shown above. Head to this location and talk to the Pan Flautist. He will give you a quest called The Flautist: A strange flautist said there’s a powerful being in the nearby temple. He said only the Great Water harp could open the way.
Next, head to The Lost Temple, as shown on the map above. Here you will find the Primary Objective marker and the lever you need to pull to power the Water Harp puzzle with water. The lever blends in with the background and is also easy to miss. Once pulled, you will see the water begin to flow through the hole in the wall on the right-hand side after pulling the lever.
After that, run back to the Water Harp Puzzle, and you will see the gear spinning. You will want to arrange the pegs in all eight rows in this order:
- 1st Row: 5th Peg
- 2nd Row: Skip
- 3rd Row: 4th Peg
- 4th Row: Skip
- 5th Row: 3rd Peg
- 6th Row: 4th Peg
- 7th Row: 1st Peg
- 8th Row: Skip
After arranging all eight rows, you will want to pull the lever to the left of the Water Harp puzzle. The device will rise and begin to play the correct tune.
Head back to the path that needs to be raised and wait for the tune to finish playing. The water will lift the path, and you can now proceed to the final boss!
