After you’ve collected the first Green Skull in the swamp, you’ll realize you need two more to open the door to the Necromancer’s Lair. There’s a door to the west and another through the swamp to the east. Head into the east entrance first, as the west requires an item you don’t have yet.

Walk over the balance beams, deal with the enemies to the east, and pull the lever they guard.

The lever moves a platform to the north, close enough to jump to. Pull the lever on the platform and jump to the next ledge. Then, follow the path around and kick the ladder down.

Climb down the ladder and activate the first lever you pulled in this room. Then, climb back up the ladder, retrace your steps, and hop on the newly accessible platform (pictured above).

There are enemies to battle in the following area. After the fight, climb the ladder, drop off the ledge, and into the open door. There’s a Graplou inside the chest, and it completely changes how you approach obstacles.

Now, you can grapple onto wooden totems to jump over obstacles and pitfalls. You can even grapple onto enemies to initiate fights.

With the Graplou in hand, step on the blue glyph switches around the room and exit the area.

There’s a grapple point to the east of this room. Hop across, defeat the enemies, and claim your second Green Skull. When you’re ready, return to the hub, rest if needed, and go into the west entrance.

West entrance

The first thing you want to do here is head north and use the Graplou on this wall (pictured above). Then, walk onto the revealed platform and pull the lever.

Climb the staircase and walk into the next area. Follow the Graplou route to the east, and remember, you can use enemies as grapple targets.

This section looks daunting until you realize you can Graplou diagonally. Continue around the room and pull every lever you find.

The platform will get stuck here until you walk the tightrope and pull the lever. After you’ve defeated another wave of enemies, the next lever will transport the platform out of sight. It’s stopped in the first room near the West entrance. Head there, Graplou to it, and follow the long path around the edge of the room.

Grapple to the enemy (pictured), pull the lever, and Graplou across. The lever by the bone stairs moves the platform up a level. Pull each lever you see as you make your way through the room. When you exit the area, you can use the Graplou to access a new location and challenge one last group of enemies.

With the final group defeated, you can finally meet the Necromancer. The boss is a tough cookie and is so dangerous we’ve got a guide for the encounter. Check it out if you get stuck.
