Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game full of possibilities, and we’ve seen players come up with some out-of-this-world scenarios in their saves. However, one playstyle you’re going to want to take advantage of is the sneak attack, and we’re going to run over how players will be able to achieve this move.
Baldur’s Gate 3: How to sneak attack
Baldur’s Gate 3 is filled with unique methods to eliminate your enemies, whether this is using the environment to your advantage or just straight-up attacking. There will always be another route players will be able to take, and sneak-attacking enemies is one of these.
The move can only be executed by rogues, so whether this means using Astarion in your party, or making your own playable character a rogue, you’ll have to settle for one of these options. Once you have a playable rogue, this is where the process can be started.
You’re going to want to crouch, and press shift if you’re playing on PC, as this is going to trigger the enemy vision cones on your screen. This is where players will want to maneuver around their foes until they’re behind them and not in their line of sight.
Once this is complete, you will want to attack the enemy, which will, therefore, trigger a sneak attack, as long as you’re not in their vision.

This move will strike for a significant amount of damage, and players are going to be inclined to use this move as much as they can, especially towards the middle/end of the game. The attack will not only catch enemies off-guard but will also deal a decent chunk of damage when you might need it the most.
Baldur’s Gate 3 seemingly has a move for every playstyle, and the sneak attack is just one of many players are going to want to take advantage of. In the meantime, be sure to check out our other BG3 content here, as there’s a ton to read up on.
