How to save Chidori in Persona 3 Reload

Help Junpei save the one he loves

One of the saddest moments in Persona 3 Reload is when Chidori passes away, leaving Junpei in a state of sorrow due to losing someone he loves. To save Junpei (and yourself) from heartbreak, here is how to save Chidori in Persona 3 Reload.

Saving Chidori in Persona 3 Reload

Saving Chidori in Persona 3 Reload boils down to completing two necessary steps. First, you must hang out with Junpei on 11/7 by speaking to him and selecting the option to do so. Next, you must purchase the White Flower from Rafflesia and give it to Junpei before 11/22. You can find Rafflesia’s flower shop in the Port Island Station.

You’ll know the necessary dates are approaching when a cutscene between Chidori and Junpei occurs in the hospital on 11/6. Right after, the following day, make sure to speak to Junpei (who will have exclamation points above his head) and spend the day with him.

After an evening with Junpei, head to the flower shop in Port Island Station and purchase the White Flower for 250 Yen. I recommend buying the White Flower immediately after hanging out with Junpei if you want to save Chidori. While it doesn’t have to be immediate, it’s very easy to lose track of time and accidentally pass the due date of 11/22.

Once you have hung out with Junpei on 11/7 and given the White Flower to Junpei before 11/22, Chidori will survive the events in Persona 3 Reload. Congratulations, you have saved your best friend Junpei from a terrible loss.

What happens if you save Chidori in Persona 3 Reload?

Saving Chidori in Persona 3 Reload won’t grant you any rewards or change the ending/overall story of the game. What it does change is the romantic story arc between Junpei and Chidori. The only difference occurs on 1/21, when you, Mitsuri, and Junpei visit Chidori in the hospital for a short cutscene.

In the short cutscene, you will discover that Chidori has no recollection of the Dark Hour, and Junpei is shocked that she survived her death. Sadly, Chidori won’t remember Junpei, but at least she is still alive. Fortunately, she mentions a guy she saw “in her dreams” and how she “wants to find him,” hinting at hope that Junpei and Chidori will end up back together.

Can you revive Chidori if she dies?

If you don’t follow the steps mentioned in this guide to save Chidori in Persona 3 Reload, you unfortunately can’t revive her later on. Chidori will be gone for good if you miss the deadline for hanging out with Junpei or giving him the White Flower. It’s very sad if she dies, so I recommend you ensure you prevent it from happening.
