Save everyone to get the Saint achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

It may seem like you can’t save everyone in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster — and that’s true — but you can save at least 50 of the survivors in the Willamette mall to earn the Saint achievement/trophy if you know the right route to take through the mall’s plazas. If you want to rescue enough survivors to unlock the Saint achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, then this guide will show you exactly where to find everyone with enough time to spare.

The first day has 11 survivors that can be rescued throughout the mall. You will encounter most of them as you progress through the initial set of Case Files. The only thing you need to do besides rescuing everyone listed below is start the “Cut From the Same Cloth” Scoop to start Kent’s photography questline. The final encounter with Kent includes a missable survivor on day three.

  • Jeff: Located on the Rooftop after leaving the Security Room for the first time.
  • Natalie: Found with Jeff on the Rooftop.

Things spice up on day two with survivors that have even more demands before they’ll follow you to the security room. You can accidentally kill some survivors on day two as well, so be careful. Make sure to complete the “Photographer’s Pride” Scoop to continue the Kent storyline, too.

  • Tonya: Found on the second floor of Wonderland Plaza inside Run Like the Wind.
  • Ross: Holed up with Tonya on the second floor of Wonderland Plaza. Do not give Ross a gun or he will kill himself and prevent you from saving either of these two.
  • Barbara: Locked inside the Empty Store next to Crislip’s Home Saloon in North Plaza. Defeat Cliff Hudson in Crislip’s Home Saloon to obtain the Empty Store Key.
  • Josh: Locked up with Barbara.

The third and final day of 72 Hour Mode in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has a ton of survivors to recruit. There’s a lot of downtime on the third day, so you shouldn’t be too stressed running around the mall trying to get them all. The only thing to worry about is being in Paradise Plaza before noon so you can save Tad from Kent.

  • Kindell: Found in North Plaza. You’ll find him as you go to meet Isabela in Case 5-1.
  • Beth: Held captive by Sean Keanan in Colby’s Movieland. Defeat him to rescue her.
  • Michelle: Held captive by Sean Keanan.
  • Nathan: Held captive by Sean Keanan
  • Ray: Held captive by Sean Keanan.
  • Cheryl: Held captive by Sean Keanan.
  • Jonathan: Fortified inside the Huntin’ Shack gun shop in North Plaza. Enter the store and they’ll shoot you. Leave the store and they’ll realize you’re human and talk to you. They won’t follow you without photographic evidence of the Rooftop vent leading to the Security Room.
  • Brett: Found inside Huntin’ Shack with Jonathan.
  • Alyssa: Found inside Huntin’ Shack with Jonathan.
  • Gil: Found inside Chris’ Fine Foods in the Food Court. Speak to him multiple times and then leave the restaurant to convince him to follow you.
  • Paul: Holding people captive in Casual Gals in Wonderland Plaza. Defeat Paul in his psychopath boss battle and then use the nearby fire extinguisher to save and recruit him.
  • Debbie: Held captive by Paul in Casual Gals.
  • Mindy: Held captive by Paul in Casual Gals.
  • Susan: Found on top of the soccer ball in a crowd of zombies in Wonderland Plaza’s southern play area.
  • Leroy: Found in a store on the southern end of Wonderland Plaza near Susan.
  • Tad: Complete the “Photographer’s Pride” Scoop and defeat Kent. You have to arrive before noon to save Tad, otherwise an alternate version of the Kent boss battle will occur.
  • Simone: Found inside Players in Paradise Plaza. She will only join you after completing Case 6-1 and bringing Isabela to the Security Room.

While there are a total of 54 survivors in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you can only save 48 of them by exploring the mall. The remaining six are major story characters that cannot be missed, but some of them will only count toward your overall survivor total under certain circumstances.

  • Frank: That’s you! Frank counts toward your survivor total in any ending where you escape from Willamette.
  • Otis: Otis counts toward your survivor count in any ending where you escape Willamette.
  • Jessica: Jessica only counts toward your survivor count if you let the main story Case Files expire prior to completing Case 7-1.
  • Brad: Brad only counts toward your survivor count if you let the main story Case Files expire prior to completing Case 7-1.
  • Isabela: Isabela counts toward your survivor count if you complete Case 5-1 and bring her safely to the Security Room.
  • Russell: Russel always dies when completing Case 6-1 and cannot be saved.
