One of the most compelling mechanics in Texas Chain Saw Massacre is the skill tree system. If you don’t think your starting characters do well enough in matches, try upgrading their skill trees! Each character can have one or multiple loadouts for their attribute levels, but your skill tree always stays the same. But what if you go a certain route and regret it? Let me explain how you can respec in Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Respecing skill tree and abilities
If you go on certain paths in your skill tree, the other unchosen paths will close for good. Do you regret your skill tree decisions and want to revert everything? How you can respec in Texas Chain Saw Massacre is by pressing the ‘R’ key.
In the Customization screen, you can customize every character’s builds. The more you play and win matches, the more points you’ll earn to spend on the skill tree. Not only can you unlock attribute points, but perks as well. While analyzing the skill tree, simply press ‘R’ and the game will ask if you’d like the respec your skills. You’ll earn all your points back to redo your skill tree. That’s really all it takes!
But what about your main ability and attributes? Well, you can add and subtract points you have on your attributes anytime you’d like. What’s also interesting in the fact that you can have up to five different loadouts of different attribute levels. For example, my Julie is very high in Stealth and Proficiency, but at any time I can swap to my other loadouts by pressing ‘Z’ or ‘X’.
You can also respec the main ability tree. Each character has a unique ability that you can upgrade overtime. As you can see, you can go through various routes when upgrading your ability. Regretting your decisions on which routes you took? Just press the ‘R’ key again.
