Remember that knife you just broke because you died? Well, time to bring it back to action! Here is how to repair weapons and gear in No Rest for the Wicked.
No Rest for the Wicked: How to repair equipment
One of the main criticisms around the No Rest for the Wicked launch is the current state of weapon durability. It certainly is a controversial mechanic that many games have adopted, but in this case, players feel that durability in conjunction with the game’s difficulty, makes it completely unfair. However, there are a couple of ways you will be able to repair your equipment after its durability has worn off due to the amount of inevitable deaths you will suffer. The first one involves a certain NPC called Filmore.
You see, you get to meet Filmore once you travel through the Keep, kill a good amount of enemies, and get the key to the Mess Hall. Several enemies will be interrogating him and, once you defeat them, you will be able to use his services. He is a Blacksmith and also a vendor, allowing you to purchase and sell any equipment you want. However, his most important function is his ability to repair your equipment. All you have to do is speak to him, pick the Repair option, and then repair either your equipped gear or all of it.
Now, the tricky thing will be locating Filmore. He will appear throughout your adventure in specific places, with one of his appearances being near one of the several Whispers you find across the world. So, while you level up and upgrade your stats, pay close attention to his spawn locations. Alternatively, you can also search for Repair Powder which will add a portion of durability to your equipped items. You can find this item in treasure chests or as a drop after breaking objects if you are lucky enough – which I’m not, I haven’t found a single one.
