Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to remove villagers

Sometimes the valley can get quite crowded, so why not remove a villager or two? It’s super easy to do and undo if you feel like reverting it. How you can remove villagers in Disney Dreamlight Valley is by selecting the character list on your map, then selecting a character to remove.

Pull up your map, and look to the left side of the screen. See that purple icon showing a book with a Mickey icon? Select that, and you’ll see a list of all your active villagers. Simply select any villager you wish to remove, and there it is!

As a reminder, that villager won’t disappear straight away. Once you enter and exit a building, this will reset the valley, and they should be gone. Bringing them back is as easy as selecting their icon again.

Keep in mind that if this villager has an active quest, they won’t leave the valley. And their house won’t disappear, only the villagers will disappear. So while it sounds easy enough to get rid of a villager, you need to make sure they don’t have any quests with you. If their quest is locked, they will disappear, so this only applies to quests that are unlocked.

Also, if you don’t have this feature, it probably means you’re somehow still playing the game in an old update. Make sure to update Disney Dreamlight Valley to its latest version, which is currently the Pumpkin King Returns update.
