If you’re jumping into LEGO Fortnite for the first time but are noticing a hot or cold status message appear, how do you remove it?

There can be consequences if you get too hot or too cold in LEGO Fortnite, so let me help you figure out how to stay at the correct temperature.

LEGO Fortnite: How to get rid of hot and cold messages

Depending on what you’re doing or where you are, you may notice a message appears saying that you’re either hot or cold. But if the temperatures get worse, this can lead to getting hurt. You can remove the hot and cold messages in LEGO Fortnite by either staying warm with a campfire, eating a Snow Berry for heat resistance, or using Charms.

Of course, if you’re annoyed by the temperature aspect of this survival mode, simply toggle this feature off while creating your new world. But if you’re already playing a world with this feature on, here’s how to deal with it.

How to remove “you are cold” message

You may be seeing this “you are cold” message if you’re too close to Snow Berry plants, which radiate a cold aura. Or perhaps you’re exploring a chilly area with snow-capped mountains. In this case, you want to build a campfire, which is the first crafting recipe you learn from Brite Bomber.

Press the “Q” key to bring up the build menu, then create your campfire with three wood. This will provide you with enough warmth to get rid of that cold message and status effect.

How to remove “you are warm” message

On the flip side, are you noticing a message saying that you’re too warm? While we’re still discovering unique ways to survive and stay cool in this LEGO Fortnite survival mode, one of the easiest ways to do this is by eating a Snow Berry.

Snow Berries are common plants you can find around you, ready for harvest. Eat one, and you’ll get a couple of minutes of heat resistance. This means that if you’re exploring a hot area, you should be able to relax knowing that you’re resistant to it.

Using Charms for heat/cold resistance

Since we’re still so early in exploring LEGO Fortnite, we’re still uncovering certain features, such as Charms. These are supposedly craftable or obtainable items you can wear to help with certain conditions. You should be able to find or craft Charms that resist hot and cold temperatures.
