How to reduce your heat in Ark Survival Ascended

If you’re hot in Ark Survival Ascended, you’ll find yourself getting dehydrated much quicker. Get too hot, and you’ll see your health slowly drain. Heat is increased by standing too close to fires, and from being in generally hot environments, such as the jungle, or by the beach.

To reduce your heat in Ark Survival Ascended, you can vacate the hot biome, although that isn’t really a practical option for many of you. Staying indoors will lower your temperature if your hot due to its temperature mitigation. Also, taking off clothes that negatively impact your temperature must be taken off.

Don’t worry about such things if you are only hot, as all that will do is dehydrate you a little quicker, which is natural. If it reaches the second stage, then you’ll really have to worry about getting indoors or taking clothes off to escape the heat. Make sure to head the stats of your clothing carefully, to make sure it will help to wear them or take them off.

How to increase your heat in Ark Survival Ascended

Increasing your heat in Ark Survival Ascended is a little easier than reducing it. When you’re just cold, you’ll get hungrier a little quicker. When you’re too cold, your health will start to drop too. Getting cold will happen in colder, snowier climates, or at high elevations as well as during the night.

To increase your heat, you can go indoors, as being indoors increases your temperature mitigation, balancing you out. You can also put on thermal clothes or light a fire, which you should hopefully be able to do at any time.

Again, don’t worry about doing this if you’re only a little cold. But when you get too cold is when you’ll need to light a fire, put on some thermal clothes, or escape indoors. Preferably all of them.
