Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader: How to recruit Incendia Bastaal-Chorda

It’s important to know that you must be the Iconoclast conviction to have the best chance at recruiting Incendia Bastaal-Chorda in Warhammer 40K. Recruiting her begins in Chapter 2 as there is an important action that you must take here. In Chapter 2, make sure you avoid sending the chaos-infected meals to Footfall after saving Janus or otherwise you potentially lock yourself out from the chance to recruit Incendia Bastaal-Chorda.

The next step in recruiting Incendia Bastaal-Chorda happens in Chapter 4 when you return to Footfall. Upon returning to Footfall, it’s important that you side with Vlodym and convince Incendia Chorda that she shouldn’t kill everyone at the bar. When speaking to her, select the following dialogue options:

  • Tell her she’s being self-serving rather than devout.
  • Tell her to go into exile.

This will cause Chorda to repent. I highly suggest saving your game before attempting this in case you make a mistake.

Once you complete all of the steps mentioned, she will visit you at your ship and decide to join your cause at the end of the main quest “Questions and Answers.” Congratulations, you have officially recruited Incendia Bastaal-Chorda in Warhammer 40K.

To summarize, here is a recap on how to recruit Incendia Bastaal-Chorda in Warhammer 40K:

  5. Meet with Chorda on your ship at the end of Questions and Answers main quest.

Incendia Bastaal-Chorda is considered an Operative Assassin in Warhammer 40K, making her incredibly useful in the late game. I would recommend leaning into her talents and making her focus on Sniping as there are useful damage buffs that can make her really stand out. Additionally, there are Weak Spot buffs that are available to make her even deadlier as a Sniper.
