How to reach Abyssal Depths in Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2 takes part on Petrichor V, a planet of many biomes and environments. Each area poses a new threat and group of enemies to tackle as you make your way to the final level. And every level provides the possibilities of fresh challenges and a new unlock. The fire level plays host to some of the hottest monsters in the game. Knowing how to reach the Abyssal Depths in Risk of Rain 2 takes some know-how.

How to reach Abyssal Depths in Risk of Rain 2

The Abyssal Depths is one of three possible fourth levels in Risk of Rain 2, alongside Sirens Call and Sundered Grove. Any of these three can spawn as the fourth level unless you follow a few simple steps to ensure you get Abyssal Depths next.

1. You need to ensure that you have a total of three Lunar Coins in your inventory. These will be needed later on.
2. At the end of a level, head into the portal that appears beside the exit to the level.
3. This is the Bazaar Between Time. You need to head through the shop to the Lunar Seer.
4. One displays the Abyssal Depths.
5. Pay the three Lunar Coins to select the Abyssal Depths as the next level. It will be identifiable as the flaming ring of hell.
6. To reach the Abyssal Depths in Risk of Rain 2, you must exit through the blue portal.

What to expect in the Abyssal Depths

There are a few unique interactions in the Abyssal depths that can result in new playable characters and huge payouts. Knowing where they are will help you get ahead in the world.

• Legendary Chest – The depths guarantee a legendary chest lain somewhere within; it is usually by the three giant boulders.
• Rex – This broken half-robot can be brought back to playable life by transporting the Fuel Array from the back of the escape pod at the beginning of the game and repairing him.
