Into the Light’s new game mode, Onslaught, pits you against waves of enemies while you defend a secure point. The person to send you on these quests is none other than Lord Shaxx, who has a brand-new Eternity-style hub called the Hall of Champions. Here you can talk to Shaxx and NPC vendors, as well as opening armor chests and other rewards.

Like every other NPC, Shaxx has a separate reputation from his Crucible one, and raising your rank with Shaxx allows you to open the armor chests in the Hall of Champions. Along with Trophies of Bravery, each chest requires you to be at a certain rank with Shaxx before you can spend the currency. Thankfully, there are some sure-fire ways to quickly raise your rank with Shaxx.

Play the long Onslaught

Of course, the easiest way to raise those ranks with Shaxx is to play the new wave-based mode, Onslaught. However, there isn’t only one version of Onslaught. Players can attempt a 50-wave version of Onslaught with 2 other friends, or people you may find on the Fireteam Finder.

This version will be harder as you have to last through 5 times the amount of waves that you normally have to. But if you can make it to at least 30 waves, you’ll earn yourself some Powerful Gear (Tier 1) and a decent amount of reputation.

Complete Weekly Bounties

This one might seem self-explanatory, but much like Xur, Shaxx has a vendor friend that gives you some rewarding bounties. Their name is ARCITE 99-40, and along with giving you BRAVE weapon quests, they can give you weekly bounties a la Starhorse. That being said, you can grab bounties from Shaxx himself, but those will only give you 10-25 Lord Shaxx Reputation per bounty.

The weekly bounties, on the other hand, can give you anywhere from 100-400 Lord Shaxx Reputation per bounty. This will help expedite your rank-up progress the most out of any other method in this article. But the bounties aren’t gimmes mind you.

These bounties range from Defeating Guardians and enemies in playlists to having to complete Master Raids, but it’ll be worth it to grab the new gear as soon as possible. And if you end up completing all the weekly quests before the reset, you can work on a build for Onslaught and earn even more rep.
