ATB charges as you inflict attacks upon enemies, which you can then spend to use special skills, spells, or items. But certain characters seem to take forever when charging their ATB.

FF7 Rebirth: How to charge ATB faster

While certain characters can raise ATB pretty quickly using quick attacks, I’ve found that party members like Aerith are slow to grow their ATB. You can raise your ATB faster in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth by casting Haste with the Time Materia, landing First Strike on an enemy, or using other Materia that aids your ATB.

The Time Materia in FF7 Rebirth can cast Haste which increases the speed at which your ATB fills up. Casting this on someone like Aerith can be great for allowing her to quickly get healing spells ready. You can find the Time Materia available to purchase in Costa del Sol from a street vendor.

There’s also the First Strike method, which triggers when you strike an enemy first. Whenever you walk up to an enemy in the open world, you’ll notice a red circle begins to form. If you strike first, your ATB bar will get a nice boost.
