Zonaite is a new resource in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. And even though it may not be obvious at first, it has plenty of uses. It acts as both a currency and as a material used with the Autobuild ability. But if you’re just starting out it can be tricky to figure out how to process the Zonaite. So in this guide, we’ll cover the basics, and get you processing Zonaite in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom: How to process Zonaite
The game does cover how to use Zonaite during the Great Sky Island portion. However, it’s easy to miss what’s going on when you’re just getting your head around things like Ultrahand and Fuse. But let’s revisit the whole process now. The easiest Forge Construct to reach is on Great Sky Island. If you can’t quite remember where that is use the map below to guide you.
Once you’re back at the Forge Construct, you should see a table with Crystallized Charges and Zonai Charges. Both of these resources require a payment in Zonaite. The former costs three Zonaite per one charge, and the latter costs two Zonaite. And just like any other shop in Tears of the Kingdom, you simply walk up to whichever item you want and purchase it with your Zonaite.
You may also have a collection of Large Zonaite in your inventory. That material can’t be used to purchase these items specifically. But it is used to purchase large versions of both. You can find Forge Constructs in the Depths that sell these large charges. So if you’ve got a build up of Large Zonaite, you should get it processed in these areas. The easiest one to find is in the Great Abandoned Central Mine, which you can access through a Chasm in the Great Plateau. Check the map below for the location of this Forge Construct.
Processing Zonaite is a key part of Tears of the Kingdom, and once you know how to do it you’ll see the benefits. It’s an integral process for making sure you can power vehicles and increase the capacity of the Energy Cell.
