For the base game of Diablo 4, you’d need to beat the campaign in order to get to unlock the harder third World Tier. However, to access Season 1 content in Diablo 4, you need to have beaten the game. This may leave you puzzled because World Tier 3 and 4 are locked when you start the first season. If you want to know how to play on World Tier 3 and 4 in Season 1 of Diablo 4, consider this guide.
Diablo 4: How to play on World Tier 3 and 4 in Season 1
Blizzard Entertainment has been rather confusing about Diablo 4’s first season. First, you need to beat the game, collect all the Altar’s of Lilith, and have the map unlocked. Many complaints are directed at why are there so many hoops to jump through. However, the topic of playing a harder tier seems to be easier but is not explained well.
When you create your seasonal character, you’ll get several options on how you start Season of the Malignant. One of them is to skip the campaign, which will throw you into the end game. The same rule applies: beat the story, and you’ll unlock the next 2 Tiers. So make sure you uncheck that option. This can be repetitive, but you’ll get a lot of XP out by doing so.
Why is playing on harder World Tiers important?
If you want to get the most out of your build and have even stronger equipment, play on a harder tier. Just like in the normal game, you can only find gear up to the Legendary tier on the first two difficulties. However, when you play on World Tier 3 and 4, you’ll start seeing Sacred and Unquie gear. Which can enhance many aspects of what you’re creating. So in Diablo 4, it’s always a good idea to get stronger and better.
