Skip the line by playing offline.

An offline mode can alleviate the pressure and help developers fix issues regarding the servers. Last Epoch thankfully has an offline mode, which is great since, at the time of writing, I can’t get into the online mode. But to know how to play the offline mode in Last Epoch, follow along.

Last Epoch: How to play the offline mode

Developers Eleventh Hour Games have let players access the full game in the offline mode. You just need to launch Last Epoch from your Steam library. You’ll get a dialogue window seen below that will give you the option to switch. By pressing the offline mode, you get access to the full game of Last Epoch.

This isn’t confirmed, but you may be able to play your offline character online this way. Normally, when you select online mode, you can still play offline. When you do, you’ll need to create a new character for that mode.

You can also access the offline mode, by right-clicking the game in your library, and press Properties. Then in the General tab look for Launch Options. When you select the drop-down menu, press Play Full Offline.

However, to play online, you have to restart the game and select the first option in the dialog box.

Why is offline mode important?

A mode like this in an online game helps in many ways. If you don’t like playing online but enjoy ARPGs, this mode can benefit you. It allows you to play at your own pace without having to worry about community-driven things. On top of that, you can also level up with ease this way. Getting Mastery classes can be a challenge, but the offline mode could make life simpler. Additionally, it’s probably the best way to learn about mechanics like Cycles.

Another reason why it’s important is that the game suffers the long queue lines during peak hours. This can add more pressure to the developers. As mentioned, an offline mode can be enough to help the developers to fix the issue. Even though you can’t play the game online, you can still take your adventure with you offline. This just helps Eleventh Hours Games work faster and more efficiently.

While you wait for the game to slowly come alive, find out if Last Epoch is on the Xbox or PlayStation here
