Yes, you can pet your Pals, I know many players are probably wondering this. But how exactly can you pet your Pals in Palworld?
While a wild Pal won’t be interested in your pets, once you catch a Pal they’ll be open to your love and affection. Here’s how to do it.
Palworld: How to pet your Pals
The game doesn’t exactly tell you how to do it, but thankfully, it’s quite easy. You can pet your Pals in Palworld by pressing the “4” key while looking at your Pal, then selecting the “Pet” option.
Once you catch and tame a Pal, whether it’s on your base or summoned from your party, you can then access a special menu of ways to interact with your Pal. After pressing “4” to bring up the menu wheel while looking at your Pal, you should see plenty of interesting options. For example, one Pal I have on my base allows me to feed it directly, view its details, and add it right to my party.

But this time you want to choose the “Pet” option, and your character will start to pat its head. No matter the Pal, they’ll be content with a pleasant head petting. That’s all you have to do to pet your Pals! Now you can go try it out with any of your Pals.
As I said, you can even do this with a summoned Pal in your party through the same menu when out in the open world. Press the “E” key to summon your selected Pal from your party. All Pals just want to do is help you out and receive lots of affection, so don’t forget to pet your favorite Pals once in a while!
With that being said, if you do notice your Pal slacking off too much, what do you do? We have a guide to help you with that issue.
