The release schedule for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage has been released for PC and consoles. However, people have been expressing their confusion over the PC times, as the release times differ depending on what platform you’re buying the game from. Console users don’t have this issue, meaning that they are more likely to pull off this cheeky exploit to get the game a little sooner than the rest of your region. Below are all of the release dates for each platform, and how to pull off the New Zealand trick to get Assassin’s Creed: Mirage slightly earlier.
How to pull off the New Zealand trick for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage
The release of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a lot simpler for console players, as the game releases at midnight for each respective region. This means that, across the globe, there will be a Mexican wave of Mirage releases as midnight makes its tour around the globe. If you want to get the game earlier, you can mess with your settings to trick your console into thinking you’re in New Zealand, giving you the game before the rest of your region as those guys will get first dibs on Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
Note that the poor New Zealanders can’t pull off this trick, but then again, they’re lucky that they don’t have to.

Performing the New Zealand trick for Xbox users
For Xbox users, whether Series X or S, go into your settings, then your system, then time. Here, you’ll be able to switch your time zone to UCT+12, Auckland, Wellington. You must then restart your console. Make sure you use an online time converter to know exactly when the New Zealand drop is in your local time, so you can be there before any of your friends or neighbors.
Performing the New Zealand trick for PlayStation users
For the PS5, there are more steps required. To get the game early, you’ll need to create a whole other PlayStation account on your console. Whilst making the account, make sure to switch your region to New Zealand, or this won’t work. You will have to pre-order the game on that account, instead of your main. There is no other way around this and is rather inconvenient if you want your trophies all on the same account.
I hope you enjoyed our guide on performing this nifty New Zealand trick to get Assassin’s Creed: Mirage earlier than your peers. Just please don’t blitz through the game and spoil it before your friends get on. Don’t be that guy. For more gaming assistance, visit PC Invasion.
