In Palworld, breeding is the key to getting powerful Pals much earlier than you would have if you were to catch them. The catalyst for this Egg production is Cake, so you’ll need a lot of standby if you want to breed as much as possible.
Making Cake in Palworld
Cake is pretty expensive to make for new players, so if you plan to do a lot of breeding, then you’ll need to start automating the production of ingredients. Thankfully, each of the resources can be automated to get your Egg farms rolling.
For each Cake, you’ll need:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Eggs
- 2 Honey
The Cake can be built using any food-producing facility, like the Cooking Pot, but not the Campfire. It does take a while to build, so you’ll want a Pal with at least Kindling level 2 so it doesn’t take forever.
When the Cake is ready, you can place it in the chest in front of the Breeding Pen where it’ll be accepted by the Pals when the time comes to produce an Egg. If you wish to stockpile Cake, you’ll need to make sure it gets eaten before it goes off.
Coolers are great candidates to keep Cake preserved, as long as you have an Ice Pal that can Cool it. Also, you can click on the “sort” button to reset the timers, but I imagine this little trick will be patched soon.

How to get Flour in Palworld
Flour is a little tricky to get in Palworld since it’s a long, multi-stage process. You’ll first need to farm Wheat, which means you’ll need a Wheat Plantation and to find Wheat Seeds.
Once you’ve got this growing, the Pals automating your Berry Plantation will instantly get to growing, watering, and harvesting. All of this Wheat can get milled into bags of Flour through the Mill, a structure you’ll unlock not long after the Wheat Plantations.
Assigning as much Wheat as possible to produce as much Flour as possible is what you’ll want, as Wheat serves no function that berries can’t fix. The Mill functions like the Crusher. A Pal with the Watering Suitability will tend to it at their own pace, or you can assign them to it.
Soon, you’ll have loads of Flour at your disposal, and you can keep ordering dozens of Flour to be made every time you need more.
How to get Red Berries in Palworld
Just in case you’ve made it this far and have yet to build a Berry Plantation, then doing so is easy. Simply build the plantation, unlocking it from the Technology tree in case you haven’t already.
You’ll need Berry Seeds, which can be harvested from the numerous Berry Bushes that you can find anywhere with greenery in the Palpagos Islands. But don’t worry, your Pals won’t need access to Berry Seeds to continuously plant the Red Berries.
As long as you’ve got Pals that can Plant, Water, Gather, and Transport, then this process will be automated. Make sure you’ve got a Feed Box for them to store the food in.
How to get Milk in Palworld
Getting Milk in Palworld isn’t difficult, but it’s easy to miss. Milk is only dropped by one Pal: Mozzarina.
Mozzarina can be found in the spots on the map below. They travel in packs, so you should be able to catch quite a few.
With your Mozzarinas, assign them to your base and if you have a Ranch, they’ll head on over to graze and produce Milk. Honestly, all you’ll need is one, as they produce Milk at such a great pace. You’ll never want for Milk ever again.
Mozzarrinas can’t do anything else, so no worries about them wandering off to do anything else.
How to get Eggs in Palworld
Eggs are ludicrously easy to get in Palworld, yet many people may miss it if they overlook one of the least powerful Pals in the game. The humble and adorable Chikipi. You’ll find these balls of feathers almost anywhere you look where there’s grass. They are omnipresent. Eternal.
Chikipi produce Eggs at an incredible rate should you assign them to a Ranch. One is all you’ll need, as they do enjoy popping off Eggs like it’s no one’s business.
How to get Honey in Palworld
Getting Honey in Palworld is a little more difficult, as the Pals that drop and produce them are a little tougher than the others. Pals like Cinnamoth and Beegarde drop them. They are tough, however, so either bring a team of level 20 Pals, or make sure you’ve got Metal Armor, a Metal Helm, and at least a half-decent Crossbow.
Beegarde are the only Pals that drop Honey when assigned to a Ranch, so you’ll want to capture one of them. This is highly difficult due to their Self-Destruct attack, and that they travel in packs of three.
The best way to capture a Beegarde is to approach them on a mount that’s a higher level than they are, to prevent them from attacking you on sight. Then, use at least a Handgun or your Pal’s strongest move to eliminate at least one or two of the Beegardes.
By this point, you’ve probably already got a Beegarde threatening to blow up. Throw at least a Giga Sphere to simply keep it in stasis, and equip a Stun Baton. When the Beegarde inevitably escapes, you can keep striking it to try and electrocute it. Upon doing so, you should be able to capture the Beegarde.
With a Beegarde in your base, it’ll hurry over to the Ranch to produce Honey for your Cake.
