One of the most exciting features in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch Expansion Pack is the brand new Nectar Making skill. Now you can create aged Nectar to sell for some Simoleons, or just to enjoy yourself. Alongside being able to get your own horses, you can make a business out of selling high-quality Nectar. We’ll explain how you can make and age Nectar in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch.
The Sims 4 Horse Ranch: Nectar Making guide
Of course, make sure you have The Sims 4: Horse Ranch Expansion Pack downloaded. How you can make and age Nectar in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is through purchasing a Nectar Maker and storing your Nectar. The Nectar Maker costs only 350 Simoleons, but you’ll need to buy or grow ingredients as well.
Before you can start making Nectar, you can either purchase ingredients from the Nectar Maker itself, or start growing and farming your own. Although buying ingredients is a lot faster, growing them is a lot more profitable. Things such as apples, grapes, strawberries, and even potatoes can turn into Nectar. In total, you can craft 10 types of Nectar.
- Apple Nectar
- x3 Apples
- Grape Nectar
- x3 Grapes
- Strawberry Nectar
- x3 Strawberries
- Potato Nectar
- x3 Potatoes
- Prairie Grass Nectar
- x3 Prairie Grass Hay
- Trash Nectar
- x3 Trash Fruit
- Energy Nectar
- x2 Lemon
- x1 Any Herb
- Vitality Nectar
- x1 Death Flower
- x2 Spinach
- Berry Nectar
- x3 Any Berry
- Fruit Nectar

Your Nectar Making skill will build up to five levels as you slowly make more and more Nectar. At the start, you’ll only be able to make Apple Nectar and Grape Nectar. Get three of either apples or grapes, then start making that Nectar! The process won’t take too long, but your sim will be stomping on the food for awhile.
How to age Nectar in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch
Once that’s complete, you have yourself your first bottle of Nectar. How you can age this Nectar is either by keeping it in your inventory, or storing it in a Stackable Nectar Storage Rack. One rack can store up to 13 bottles, and it’ll only cost 300 Simoleons. But how many in-game days does it take for Nectar to age?
- Lightly Aged: Two days
- Moderately Aged: Five days
- Finely Aged: Eight days
The longer they age, the more money you’ll earn. Also, the Nectars that require a higher Nectar Making skill level will sell for more Simoleons. Or you can simply drink the Nectar for interesting buffs.
