Chapter 3 is the hardest stage in South Park: Snow Day, especially if you’re a solo player. If you lose the boss battle, you start from the War Table. If you want to avoid that, here’s how to load the cannons and beat Stan in South Park Snow Day.
How to load cannons against Stan in South Park Snow Day
Stan is the boss of Chapter 3, and considering you had to beat the Snow Plow to get here, it really stings to lose. The battle is in three parts, and the first is breaking Stans’s defenses.
There are several cannonballs on the ground, and you can use them to load the cannons. The issue is that you can’t jump with a ball in your hands, and all the cannons are above ground level.
It took me a while to find an easy cannon to reach, but you can walk up the snowdrift on the right (pictured above). If you walk here each time, you never need to worry about stairs. Shoot the three shields to knock Stan into the arena.
Stan won’t let you do this uninterrupted, but his attacks are clearly marked before they land. I recommend playing slowly, as there’s no penalty for taking your time.

Stan is deadly up close, thanks to his two-handed axe. Use your ranged weapon whenever you can, but save your Bulls–t Cards for now. You can go in for a few risky hits with your melee weapon, but Stan will wallop you if you stay nearby.
I got a lot of mileage out of the Healing Totem, which kept my health topped up. I recommend the Staff as your ranged weapon as it’s easier to use than the Bow and deals consistent damage. It’s tempting to rush, but you can play the slow game if it’s less risky.

Stan will ally with his dad for the final part of the battle. Stans attacks don’t change, but you’ll have to avoid barrages from above as well. If you’re playing alone, expect your AI teammates to die here, as they rarely avoid the blasts.
Focus on burning Stan with your Staff but disengage the moment you see attack markers on the ground around you. It’s hard to keep track of everything, so use your Bulls–t Cards here to finish the battle faster. If your AI teammates fall, I don’t advise helping them unless the area is clear, as damage can pile up quickly here.Â
Rely on your ranged weapon, avoid risky plays, and you’ll conquer this brutal Chapter. If you’re really struggling, you can farm Dark Matter in the Horde mode to increase your stats but you still need to fight cautiously.
