How to kill clowns in Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Klown down!

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game features a lot of tropes that fans of asymmetrical horror games are surely used to by now, but one thing that sets the game apart is the humans’ ability to easily kill the Klowns with powerful weapons like firearms.

As long as you have a weapon to defend yourself with, you can take out a Klown that’s chasing you with ease as long as you know what to do. Having a group obviously helps since the Klowns can’t kill you all, but even a big team of humans can lose to a single Klown if they don’t know the right weak spots to target. Here’s how to kill the Klowns from outer space.

Can You Kill the Clowns in Killer Klowns from Outer Space?

Yes, you can kill the clowns in Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. Any weapons, from blunt baseball bats to long-range pistols, can stun a Klown and put them down for a brief period of time, but you’ll need to be more precise if you want to kill one of them for good.

The Klowns’ weak spot in Killer Klowns from Outer Space is their nose. Shooting their nose with a gun or piercing it with a sharp weapon like a knife will kill the Klown and force them to sit through a 45-second respawn timer, buying the human team a ton of time and breathing room to locate an exit and escape. If you use a blunt weapon like a pipe or blast a Klown with a shotgun shell in the chest, they’ll be stunned but not killed.

Certain human archetypes are much better at Klown combat than others, too. The default Athletic class is capable enough, but they’re nowhere near as strong as the Tough archetype unlocked at player level 42. Work with your fellow survivors and coordinate to take down the pursuing Klowns if you want to escape with your lives.
