How to kick Enemies in Lords of the Fallen (LotF)

Take that!

Lords of the Fallen has a diverse combat roster, allowing you to choose how you wish to dispatch your enemies. Kicking is one such tool at your disposal. With such low damage, you may be wondering why you would opt to use the kick attack at all. You’ll be surprised at how useful it is, and will want to incorporate it into your fighting style.

Learning to kick in Lords of the Fallen will be a useful asset to your playthrough, and it is really easy to do. Holding shift and left-clicking will allow your character to thrust forth a kick. For Xbox players, you’ll want to hold LB and press RB, and for PlayStation players, you’ll need to hold L1 and press R1.

Kicking does very little damage, but it is useful in other ways. It does good posture damage to an enemy if struck from behind, and can be used to push enemies off of a cliff. This is especially great if you’ve Soulflayed them before, so you can push an enemy to an edge and then promptly kick them off.

The kick is a universal tool, so no matter your build and no matter your weapon, you’ll be able to seamlessly integrate it into your attack patterns. This makes it such a great attack.

Kicking effectively in Lords of the Fallen

A kick may be easy to execute in Lords of the Fallen, but don’t underestimate it.

In PvP situations, kicks can be super effective. As mentioned above, pushing enemies from cliffs is also effective (and super fun), but they are also great at disrupting. If an enemy is getting ready for a powerful attack, you can quickly kick them to stall them. The posture damage from a kick also allows you to speed up the process toward a grievous strike, which is also huge if you manage to execute it.

From its posture damage to its ability to interrupt to being able to knock enemies from cliffs, the kick is a very valuable asset. Make sure to practice this with NPC enemies before you employ it in PvP. Mistiming a kick could mean getting caught in a devastating combo.

I hope you will integrate this into your fighting, Lampbearer. If you want more help on your journey with Lords of the Fallen, warp on over to PC Invasion.
