SMITE 2 is holding an Alpha playtest which is just like a beta, but even earlier in development. If you love SMITE or are like me and have never played it but are interested in trying out SMITE 2, here’s how to register for the Alpha playtest.
SMITE 2: How to register for the Alpha playtest
To get your hands on SMITE 2 as soon as possible, you need to register for the Alpha playtest. To do that, head over to the SMITE 2 website and select the “register for alpha” button right at the top to the right of “wishlist now.”

All you have to do is select your platform, which can be Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Series X|S, or PlayStation 5 since SMITE 2 is coming to current-gen consoles. Then, enter your email and at least check the “I am over 13” box. If you want to stay up to date with SMITE 2 news, check that box too.
When I did this, I filled everything out and pressed “continue.” However, nothing happened. I waited and tried again and still nothing. I tried selecting different platforms, auto-filling, and manually entering my email, and selecting both boxes and was met with a stuck “continue” button. I tried refreshing the webpage too to no changes.
If you’re eager to enter, I would recommend checking back in after about an hour or so to see if the Alpha register is fixed. The window for Alpha entree hasn’t been declared, but I bet you have a few days to register. Hopefully, this bug is fixed and we can register.
As is the case for all Alphas and Betas, the SMITE 2 Alpha playtesters will be selected at random. There’s no way to increase your odds of being selected to play SMITE 2 early. You just have to wish on your lucky stars you get selected.
Also, the SMITE 2 Alpha starts in Spring 2024, so keep an eye on your inbox around that time to see if you get selected. For now, you can focus on making the best Ix Chel build.
