If you’re as excited for The FInals as I am, then you’re going to want to get your hand on it just as soon as you can. Thankfully, with the upcoming open beta, you should be able to play The Finals before release.
How to join
To get access to the open beta, you need to be playing on a PC. It is the only platform that allows play testing, and you will need to have a Steam account. To register your interest for the open beta, you simply need to head to The Finals Steam store page and request access. This is a green button just below the pre-order button.
Once you have clicked on the Request Access button, your interest will be logged. Embark Studios will then decide on how many players they want in The Finals open beta and allow you to play. You will receive an email allowing you to join. They obviously don’t want everyone playing at the same time, so you may need to wait a while. Their servers can only handle so much in the early stages. Patience is a virtue.
Bear in mind that this is only an open beta. The game is not finished, and you can expect there to be a few bugs. The open beta is simply to play-test the final game and iron out any problems. Keep your final opinions on the game until the full release. A lot can change between now and then.
How long is the open beta
The Finals open beta will only be running until November 5th, so get in there while you can. Once the open beta is finished, you will have to wait until the release date to get back into the game. Thankfully, the game is free to play, so no matter who you are or what your budget is, you can hop into this all-new first-person shooter with your friends.
Will The Finals open beta be cross-platform?
The Finals open beta will not be cross-platform as it is only available to people playing on PC. Sorry console gamers, you’re just going to have to wait,
