At the start of Another Crab’s Treasure you can hold three Stowaways, but how can you increase the max Stowaway capacity? Stowaways are great for giving Kril buffs while he’s wearing a shell, so the more the merrier.
Another Crab’s Treasure: How to increase Stowaway capacity
While you have three Stowaway slots, each Stowaway can take up a certain amount of points, which you start with four. You can increase the amount of Stowaway points you can occupy at once in Another Crab’s Treasure by visiting Bottomfeeders in New Carcinia.
In the lower section of the city you’ll find a few shops, one of them being Bottomfeeders. When you first arrive there, speak to Nemma and she’ll allow you to increase your Stowaway capacity. You can only still hold three at a time, but this will increase the Stowaway points by one, which will bring you to four. Some Stowaways will take up three points, others two, and some just one.
The higher the points they occupy, the better the Stowaway typically is. Just select “Increase Stowaway Capacity” at Bottomfeeders and you’ll have to spend a few thousand microplastics to go up by a level. For each capacity increase the price will heighten as well, but it’s a worthy purchase.
After a main story event where you set off to find the lost treasure to get your shell back, the Bottomfeeders workers will be different. You’ll now have to speak to Polli, one of the two workers of Bottomfeeders, to increase your Stowaway capacity.
The other one standing beside Polli will allow you to hire Stowaways that you’ve yet to find in the ocean. There are some cool Stowaways available, so make sure to check them out.
Now that you’ve increased your Stowaway capacity you can hold Stowaways with points that amount to four. With the next purchase, it’ll be five, and so on. Stowaways can be detrimental to beating bosses, such as Magista, Tyrant of Slacktide.
