Dave the Diver lets you become the best harpoon fisherman/ Sushi restauranteur/ underwater negotiator in town. Combing all these skills is no problem for our chunky underwater hero. The rise to fame and fortune does take some time, though, and a little know-how to boot. As you play through Dave the Diver, you will need to know how to satisfy all your customers. As a result, if you want to rise to the higher ranks of the restaurant business, you will need to know how to increase the Best Taste rating in Dave the Diver.

How to increase Best Taste in Dave the Diver

Once you have passed the silver ranking in Dave the Diver and are looking to improve further, you will notice the Best Taste ranking that comes into play. As with a number of things in the game, this isn’t really very clearly explained. It determines how good your food tastes and also how unique it is. You will find that beside each recipe has a small symbol by it of a smiley licking its lips; this is your Best Taste score.

To rank up in Dave the Diver, you’re going to need to create a recipe with the required Best Taste rank. The best way to do this is either research a recipe with a very high score. Or, you can find a recipe with a high score and enhance it until it reaches the needed Best Taste in Dave the Diver.

Recipes with the highest Best Taste score are going to require rarer or more vicious fish. They will also always require hard-to-find ingredients. The best way to find all these are by diving as deep as you can and opening every chest and cooking pot you come across. As time goes on, acquiring the Best Taste award in Dave the Diver will quickly become the hardest goal to reach, so start hoarding those tasty fish.
